Trabocchetto Talamonti 2023

€ 24.80

Pecorino d’Abruzzo superiore d.o.c.

There is nothing more typical than the traditional Trabocco (or trabucco) in Abruzzo. These wooden structures, still quite common in the Adriatic Sea today, are nothing more than a fishing construction that allowed local fishermen to work even in the worst sea conditions. The Trabocchetto is simply the net that is lowered from the top of the trabocco and is still used for fishing today. In the case of Tenuta Talamonti, however, the Trabocchetto is a Pecorino Superiore, Abruzzo DOC, pleasantly aromatic and suitable for a thousand culinary interpretations. Certified organic wine, this white is produced exclusively with grapes harvested by hand in the company vineyards. Processed with full respect for the starting raw material, the winemaker's goal is to maximize the rich aromatic heritage of the grapes. The vinification is carried out only in steel, with selected yeasts and strict temperature control. After vinification, for the aging phase, the wine is simply left to rest in the bottle for a few months before being put on the market. In the glass, it presents a beautiful bright straw yellow color. On the nose, it expresses fruity notes, with fresh nuances of renetta apple, ripe pear, broom flowers, and jasmine. On the palate, it surprises especially for the perfect balance between the richness of the fruit and the pleasant and fresh acidity.

Emidio Pepe Trebbiano d'Abruzzo 2022

€ 68.20

{{Price information 1}}

The Pepe winery is known in the industry as one of the realities that has best embodied the concept of healthy naturalness: already in unsuspecting times, 50 years ago, Emidio Pepe began, alone against everyone, to eliminate any chemical product, to not use selected yeasts for fermentation, and to rely solely on natural products in the vineyard. This has guaranteed consumers always unique and lively products like this wine, 100% Trebbiano, whose grapes are crushed by foot! Without clarifications or filtrations, it gratefully accepts a slight deposit, because it is produced in an artisanal way and in full respect of the environment!

Pale yellow with vibrant greenish reflections, it has a wonderfully imprecise nose of ripe white fruit, mineral hints, and mountain herbs. The taste is lively, sprightly, full-bodied, filling the mouth and fleeing into the long persistence that leaves behind a long trail of lime.
