A symbol wine of the new oenological reality of Montefalco, the Sagrantino Collepiano draws its strength from a centuries-old tradition and the uniqueness of the native Sagrantino grape. Collepiano is the production area of Sagrantino and indicates the gentle slope of our hills.

COLOUR: Very intense ruby red with violet reflections
AROMA: Blackberry jam, pepper, clove and vanilla, a balsamic note and a touch of powder
TASTE: Powerful yet elegant, tannin that suggests a promising future

The “Montefalco Rosso” symbolises the strong connection of the wine with the territory of Montefalco; it is produced with grapes of the variety ‘Sangiovese’ and, in small percentage, with ‘Sagrantino’ the maximum expression of that typicity always supported by Arnaldo Caprai.

AROMA: Wildflowers, red fruits and a hint of nutmeg

CHARACTERISTICS
Aged for 12 months in barrique, with a deep ruby red colour, it has a broad and rich nose, offering intense and elegant floral and herbal aromas, hints of berries, spicy notes, and balsamic and vanilla nuances. On the palate, the wine unfolds with a full body and soft tannins, enveloping the palate with elegance on fruity notes. Harmonious and persistent finish.
